The state of Wyoming offers vast opportunities for the certified nursing aides in hospitals, nursing homes and health care units. This beautiful state, rich in sceneries, has wider scope for CNA, due to the continuous need  for the certified nursing aides.
Office of Healthcare Licensing and Surveys (OHLS) and Wyoming State Board of Nursing (WSBN) are two main agencies holding responsibilities for nursing aide certification programs including complains and abuses in health centres. Rules and Regulations (promulgated by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing) should be followed by the agencies before certification of CAN. But the code of Federal Regulations on Certified Nursing Assistant program must be met by state and state agencies. The minimum federal requirement of 75 hours training consisting class room and clinical, should be completed by a nursing aide before applying for the certification examination.

Though CNA training program is for very short duration in Wyoming, it is still out of reach for many willing individuals, who are enthusiast to work in hospitals, nursing homes, health centers and long term care units. They find CNA training course expensive and not affordable. But due to acute dearth of certified nursing aides in many hospitals and long term care units, these organizations sponsors the training fees, including text books and other amenities needed for successful training of the student. The students thus sponsored should commit to work with the organizations, sponsoring them. Even scholarships and grants are available for the willing students.

Due to easy availability of the CNA jobs in health care units and hospitals, and shortage of trained CNA, the salary that is offered to certified nurse aide is also lucrative. The average salary for the new entry comes to $18,000 and $30,000 for the multiple year experience.
