Nurse Aide Classes in Connecticut
Any person or individual, who have completed State approved Certified nursing assistant program is known as Certified Nurse Aide or Certified Nursing assistant (CNA).
Their main function after completion of certified nursing training is to assist patients with health care needs, offers bedside care and follows nursing procedures under the active supervision of License Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.

CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE (CNA) TRAINING PROGRAMS – CONNECTICUT
Every state in America has formulated their own training programs for the certification and eligibility for CNA examinations. But it is necessary that any student or nursing aide should complete minimum 75 hours of classroom and on hand laboratory training schedule under the guidance of registered nurse.
In Connecticut, a nursing aide or nursing student, to be certified, must complete an approved nurse aide training program and take a state competency examination within 24 months from completion of the class. The Connecticut Dept. of Public Health, Bureau of Healthcare Systems, and Division of Health Systems Regulation maintain Connecticut Approved Nurse Aide Programs.
CNA training program in Connecticut is minimum 100 hours, classroom and clinical training, under the guidance and supervision of qualified registered nurse. The individual must re-certify every 2 years and re-certification stipulates involves that they have worked at least one 8-hour shift during that 24-month time period.
In Connecticut, the nursing aide training programs are provided in hospitals, vocational technical schools, technical colleges, high schools, adult education programs, rehabilitation centers and other health care centers.
The students facing financial crunch can opt for financial aid from long the long term care units by certifying their willingness to work for them after the completion of CNA trainings. The students can also avail state and federal grants and training funds such as Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funds to ease their financial burdens.
