CNA Test Questions Information

A Nursing Aide trainee or student, who wants to work legally in any long term care unit or nursing home, should undergo state and federal regulated CNA Training Programs and appear for competency evaluation test to get the certification.

To become certified, the student nurse’s aide will need to pass both written and clinical exams given by the State Board of Nursing. Taking the CNA certification test may be a nerve-wracking experience for many students, but knowing what to expect may take some of the mystery out of the process.

CNA Test

In America CNA Exam are administered in several locations in different state as per specific state and federal requirements. The test consists of two parts and they are:

  • A multiple-choice written exam (administered in a group setting)
  • A manual skills test. Nursing Aide student will be tested individually in a clinical setting with five skills given to perform with the necessary equipments. You will be observed and rated by a Registered Nurse using objective criteria and performance level.

Nursing Aide student is informed about the testing notice through mail in his/her mailing address about the scheduled date for appearing in the exam.

CNA Test Question Preparation

Practice for clinical test, where five randomly selected questions or skills from a list of twenty-five skills, which have been thought and practiced throughout nurse aide training are given to perform by nursing aide. Every candidate is graded on the performance of these nurse aide skills by a designated evaluator and must complete each of them correctly in order to pass the hands-on component of the exam. As a preparation, CNA can sharpen her skills on measuring blood pressure or respiration, temperatures, making beds (with and without people in them) and dressing people.

  • tell the client to be quiet
