What do you mean by CNA Classes? Why Certified Nurse Aide Classes are essential to work in any health care settings? By CNA Classes, we mean certified nurse aide training programs that are offered to individuals, who are aiming to work in health care facilities.
In United State of America, it is mandatory for any individual desiring employment in nursing field must complete state and OBRA-87 approved CAN Classes, appear for CNA certification test and earn Certification by passing the test, and get registered with specific state Nurse Aide Registry to get legal permission to work in various types of health care settings.

CNA Classes Features
CNA Classes comprises of minimum OBRA-87 required 75 hours training programs, though many states mandates programs that far cross over 75 hours federal requirements. Certified nurse aide classes consist of theoretical classroom course instruction and clinical hands-on experience, which is manly based on gaining experience on classroom learning. The clinical training is completed under the active supervision of a Registered Nurse.
The classes can be attended through high schools, community and vocational colleges, trade schools, technical career building institutions and private schools.
It is also necessary that the programs offered by the schools must be duly accredited by state and nationally recognized accrediting agencies and approved by respective state Board of Nursing.
CNA Program Course Subjects Curriculum
The subjects, courses and skills that are instructed during the training program include Basic Nursing Cares, Human anatomy, Use of medical terminology, Safety techniques and Infection Controls, Communication and Interpersonal skills, Mental Health Cares, Nutrition and numerous other skills and knowledge.
It is also necessary to understand that students are not permitted to work with the actual patients during the Classroom instructions but they are allowed to gain experience with actual patients in long term care facility during clinical hands-on experience under the supervision of LPN or RN.
The program duration may be 4-6 weeks depending upon the state training requirements and training provider requirements. The total cost of the program comes to $400 to $2,200 depending on the institution that is offering the training.
CNA Classes Option
A student can appear for campus based classroom training, American Red Cross Training, Free CNA Training, Long Term facility offered programs or online classes. Many schools offer both day and evening classes for the convenience of the students.
American Red Cross offers CNA Classes in 36 states of America and the training offered is very rigorous and is of very high standard. The training hours depends upon the specific state program requirements.
Online programs offer flexible timings and can be attended by sitting leisurely at home through your PC and broad band connections. But, it is essential that online program provide you clinical hands-on experience, otherwise you may have to complete clinical training on your own by volunteering to work in long term care facilities located locally. The online programs must also be accredited and duly approved by the respective state Board of Nursing.
Free CNA Training can be attended by applying to various states and federal, private individual and corporate offered financial aids, scholarships, grants, loans and student loan reimbursement schemes.
The completion of the training program also offers you eligibility to appear in the state CNA Certification test for earning Certification, which also lists you with respective state Nurse Aide Registry. The listing provides you legal working opportunities in various health care facilities as mandated by the OBRA.
