CNA License in Washington

If you are willing to obtain CNA Licensing in Washington, you need to complete Washington State Department of Health and The Washington State Aging and Disabilities Services Administration (ADSA) and OBRA-87 approved CNA training program, consisting of classroom instructions and clinical hands-on training, which will allow you to sit for CNA Licensing exam.

It is also worth knowing that The Washington State Aging and Disabilities Services Administration (ADSA) have contracted with Pearson VUE to develop, assess, and inform the results of the NNAAP Licensing Examination. The licensing test offered by Pearson Vue is developed by National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc., (NCSBN) to evaluate the nursing care standard of a CNA.

In order to appear for the CNA Licensing in Washington, a candidate has to submit completed Application for Competency Examination Registration form with details, such as test fees, social security card, CNA training completion certificate and a photo ID. The completed form with necessary requirements must be submitted to NACES.

NNAAP Examination offered by Pearson Vue, consists of two segments, written/oral test and skill evaluation test. The passing of both tests allows a student to get listed with Washington state nurse aide registry and legal working opportunity in various hospitals, long term care units, nursing homes, hospice centers, private homes, adult care center, home setting practice and travel nursing.

It is also necessary to remember that to maintain the CNA Licensing in current level, it is essential to get it renewed before the last expiry date within 2 years. 160 hours working as a CNA in health care facilty is also needed to get eligibility for renewal.
