CNA License in Oklahoma

After becoming certified nursing assistants the candidates are provided unique license number which allows them to practice in any of the hospitals or nursing homes. And, the CNA license is to be renewed every two years for practicing continuously. Sometimes, the nursing aides forget to renew their licenses and their licenses may get lapsed.

In Oklahoma, the nursing aides who want to verify, if their license is still valid or not, they need to go through Oklahoma CNA verification process. It is mandatory for every certified nursing aide to get the license renewed otherwise he/she is not allowed to practice anymore. There is a procedure by which a nursing aide in Oklahoma can get his/her license verified. The procedure is as follows:

  • At Oklahoma Nurse Aide registry, the nursing aides have to carry certain documentation having their certification number, license number, date of issue, social security number and other details.
  • If the license is lapsed, it can be renewed by paying minimal charges to The Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry.
  • The renewed license and certificate can be obtained by two methods. They can be posted to the home address and may take two weeks to reach or it can be emailed. It is best to opt for the hard copy as it carries original seal of the licensing authority on it when it reaches through post.
  • The status of the license can be checked with an independent organization just as when the employer of the nursing does when a job application is submitted.
