CNA License in Kansas
In order to get CNA License in Kansas, an individual must complete state and OBRA’87/CFR approved CNA Nursing Training programs, offered by the Kansas Department of Health and Senior Services. The certified nurse aide training program includes classroom instructions and clinical hands-on training.
The completion of the CNA program, allows a student to sit for Kansas state CNA License exam and listing with state nurse aide registry for legal working permission in various hospitals, long term care units, hospitals, nursing homes and other health care facilities.
CNA License test consist of two separate parts including:
- Written/Oral (optional) Test
- Skill Test
The test is offered to evaluate the competency evaluation of a student for safe and competent everyday nursing care to ailing patients. The questions that are needed to answer are based on classroom instructions, clinical training and nursing subjects that are needed for caring actual ailing patients in health care centers.
It is necessary for the CNA students willing to sit for the CNA license exam to contact course instructor for submitting licensing requirements, such as exam fees, class roster, application forms, and accommodation request forms to be handed over to department or its designated agent. The state also provides ADA accommodation to disable students.
In order to pass the Licensing test, a candidate has to score above 75%. The passing of the licensing test allows a candidate to get listed with state Nurse Aide Registry and legal permission to work in different health care centers all over Kansas.
