After the completion of your course and exam of the certified nursing assistant, you get a license issued by your state. Basically this CNA license is a document that is issued by the state in which you are licensed to work. This license carries your license number, your name and date of issue as well as the expiry of the license. Without a valid license you cannot practice in any state of the United States also any employer across the states will require your credentials to work as a certified nursing assistant in their territory. • You can get the copy of your records in print from the site or can ask for a copy from the state licensing department that is department of health and once you receive the copy make sure that you get a photocopy of that to keep a backup.
