In the state of Washington, Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Social and Health Services has the responsibility to regulate and manage CNA training and the practice of Certified Nurse Assistants. It is their duty to see that employed CNA has successfully completed state and federal approved training programs and passed the state Certification test.
