CNA Certification in California: Which business Schools in California Offer CNA Programs?

There are approximately 50 colleges in California that are offering CNA courses,, counting “ The School of Health & Physical Education at City College in San Francisco”, “Pasadena City College in Pasadena”, “Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa” and “Santa Barbara City College in Santa Barbara”. However it is essential for all the CNA graduates from each college to get a certification from the State of California.

School of Health and Physical Education at City College of San Francisco, CA

An 18 month Certification Course for Home Health Aide and Nurse Aide is offered by The School of Health and Physical Education at City College of San Francisco. The college works in collaboration with local hospitals and further health care facilities to ascertain that its nursing students are equipped with necessary training required to fulfill the basic medical needs of local populace. Once the training program is completed, a CNA graduate can appear for Competency exam for Nursing Assistants in order to get licensure and certification for Home Health Aide.

The module of the course comprises of a clinical training, skills, lectures and lab practices. Graduates from Santa Rosa Junior College are also eligible to appear in the ‘Department of Health Services competency exam’ organized by State of California to achieve nursing assistant and home health aide certifications.

Santa Barbara City College in Santa Barbara, CA

Santa Barbara City College is a widespread community college situated on the southern coastline of Santa Barbara. The CNA certification program existing at Santa Barbara City College trains its students with the expertise they will be required to provide under basic health care as Certified Nursing Assistants in California. Program offered at this college expects the nursing students to accomplish 6 credit hours under one CNA course. Nursing trainees can even take extra/supplementary classes in order to gain skills competency award in “Acute Care CNA and Home Health Aide programs”. Students are also supposed to get certification in CPR, before getting entered into CNA certification program.
